Italy’s Revenue Agency has released an online list of more than 1,500 local authorities that have joined the five‑year vehicle tax amnesty program.
The list, posted on the agency’s public‑collection portal, shows which municipalities, provinces and metropolitan cities allow owners to settle outstanding car registration fees under the “rottamazione” scheme.
Program details
Under the amnesty, drivers can pay a reduced amount to regularise unpaid vehicle taxes that date back up to five years. The scheme aims to increase compliance and boost local revenues.
Participating entities set their own deadlines and discount rates, but all must adhere to the national framework established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Accessing the list
Taxpayers can view the full roster on the Revenue Agency’s website, which includes contact information for each jurisdiction. The portal also provides links to application forms and payment instructions.
The agency said the publication will help citizens identify where they can benefit from the program and encourage timely payments.
Officials indicated that the list will be updated regularly as more municipalities join the initiative.
