Caserta to Host “City of Women” Festival in March 2027 with Over 1,000 Events

On a chilly morning in early March, volunteers set up banners for the “City of Women” festival on a bustling square in Caserta, Italy. The city will host the event from March 5 to March 8, 2027, featuring more than 1,000 scheduled activities.

Organisers said the program includes workshops, exhibitions, and public discussions aimed at promoting gender equality and women’s rights. The festival follows a similar initiative held on November 24 and 25, 2026, which focused specifically on combating violence against women.

Local officials highlighted the continuity between the two events, noting that the November dates served as a pilot for the larger March celebration. They expect participation from municipal agencies, NGOs, and cultural institutions.

Community leaders expressed optimism that the expanded lineup will draw visitors from across the region and raise awareness of ongoing challenges faced by women. The city council plans to evaluate attendance and feedback to shape future editions of the festival.

Looking ahead, organisers aim to make the “City of Women” an annual fixture, using the March 2027 edition as a benchmark for scaling up outreach and impact.
