Urban Development Fund posts EGP 6bn sales in 2026, aims for EGP 3bn more

The Urban Development Fund (UDF) said it has recorded EGP 6 billion in sales since the start of 2026 and targets an additional EGP 3 billion by year‑end.

What sales goals has the fund set for 2026?

Chairperson Khaled Seddik told Daily News Egypt the fund aims to add EGP 3 billion in sales before December, on top of the EGP 6 billion already booked.

UDF plans to hand over about 10,000 housing units in 2027 as it speeds construction and delivery across its portfolio.

The fund is readying a second phase of land sales that includes roughly 14 plots ranging from two to five feddans, plus a 185‑feddan site in Kafr El‑Sheikh and another plot in Mahalla.

In Downtown Cairo, the 36‑unit El‑Shorbagy Hotel has been assigned to a management company. The Fustat development will contain about 450 hotel rooms and 158 serviced apartments, with the first handovers at Fustat View slated for early 2027.

UDF offers affected buyers the option to move to another available unit within the same project or receive a full refund without deductions.

Is the fund seeking buyers outside Egypt?

Seddik said UDF is targeting Egyptians living abroad, having held two overseas exhibitions and discussing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the use of embassies to promote its projects.
