The Txt Festival kicks off on October 2 at Naples’ historic Teatro Nazionale, marking its inaugural edition.
- Organizers introduced the theme “The Pleasure of Text,” inviting emerging writers to explore fresh storytelling forms.
- Renowned playwright Martin Crimp lends his name to the event, offering mentorship sessions and a keynote on contemporary drama.
- Young participants will showcase original pieces in a series of readings, workshops, and panel discussions throughout the week.
- The festival aims to boost local talent, connect them with industry professionals, and spark dialogue about the future of theatre.
It’s a vibrant start for what promises to become a staple of Naples’ cultural calendar.
