In a celebration of youthful talent, Chinese maestro Feifan Jiang clinched the international Guido Cantelli conducting prize. The award, named after the famed Italian conductor, recognized Jiang’s fresh perspective and technical skill on the podium.
Jiang’s résumé already boasts mentorships with legendary figures such as Riccardo Muti, Finnish pedagogue Jorma Panula, and German maestro Markus Stenz. Those experiences have shaped his approach, blending Eastern nuance with Western tradition, and clearly impressed the Cantelli jury.
Winning the Cantelli award not only elevates Jiang’s profile globally but also shines a spotlight on the next generation of conductors poised to lead major orchestras worldwide.
