Jon Rahm Set to Leave LIV Golf Circuit

The world of professional golf is shaking up once again. Just under three years after shocking the sports world by leaving the PGA Tour for the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league, Spanish star Jon Rahm is officially heading for the exit. The news broke this Wednesday as the legal proceedings surrounding LIV’s bankruptcy revealed that the golfer is walking away from the circuit’s future plans.

Rahm’s lawyer, John Beck, explained that the golfer reviewed the terms for the league’s upcoming iteration, known as “LIV 2.0,” and found them completely unacceptable. Because of this, Rahm has decided he will not participate moving forward. Both sides are now in advanced negotiations to reach a mutual agreement on his departure, marking a major turning point for the golfer and the future of the league.
