The Cairo International Film Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary during this year’s event, scheduled to take place from November 11 to 20. Italian director Matteo Garrone is confirmed as a guest for the milestone edition of the festival.
Giona A. Nazzaro, artistic director of the Locarno Film Festival, will serve as the president of the competition jury. The festival continues to function as a significant platform for regional and international cinema.
Organizers have not yet released the full lineup of films competing for the festival’s awards. The event remains one of the oldest and most prominent film gatherings in the Arab world.
