Egypt’s chemical and fertilizer exports to Saudi Arabia increased 98 percent to $356 million during the first eight months of 2026, according to the Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilisers.
- Petrochemicals led the export figures at $102 million.
- Fertilizers and pesticides followed with $51 million in trade value.
- Plastics reached $44 million, while detergents totaled $41 million.
- The council plans to attend five trade exhibitions in Saudi Arabia by 2027 to boost market share.
Khaled Abou El Makarem, the council’s chairperson, stated that this growth reflects significant opportunities for Egyptian firms to expand their presence in the Kingdom. The council intends to focus on promotional activities and trade fairs, including the upcoming Saudi Agriculture event, to connect local exporters with regional buyers. #EgyptTrade #ChemicalIndustry #SaudiArabiaEconomy
