EFG Hermes UAE, a subsidiary of the Cairo-based investment bank EFG Hermes, has begun providing market making and liquidity services on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). The firm announced the launch on Monday, stating the services aim to provide continuous two-sided quotations for securities listed on the exchange. The initiative is intended to increase order book depth, reduce bid-ask spreads, and support price discovery for investors.
Khalifa Rabba, Chief Operating Officer of DFM, said the firm’s entry supports efficient trading and reinforces Dubai’s status as a capital markets hub. EFG Hermes officials noted the move extends the firm’s existing brokerage and investment banking operations.
