Capital University’s Faculty of Engineering at Matareya has established a partnership with the Association of Safety, Disaster Management and Firefighting Engineers (ASDFE) to launch a professional certification program for fire protection inspectors. The agreement was signed by Faculty Dean Amr Abdel Hady and ASDFE Chairperson Hatem Sadeq, under the supervision of university president Sayed Kandil.
The curriculum includes six courses totaling 18 credit hours, blending academic coursework with practical training. Instruction covers fire alarm system design, risk assessment, evacuation protocols, and compliance with local and international safety codes. The program aims to prepare engineers to review system effectiveness and draft technical reports. Classes will be available in-person and online, with examinations held at the Matareya campus.
