Egypt’s Ministry of Housing is developing a real estate investment fund to manage assets owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The initiative aims to increase economic returns and attract domestic and foreign capital for urban development, according to a ministry statement released Wednesday.
Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy said the fund will diversify the authority’s real estate portfolio. Officials intend to explore new investment models to improve asset management efficiency. The strategy is designed to provide fresh liquidity and financing for ongoing and future projects across the country’s new cities.
The ministry meeting included Deputy Minister Walid Abbas and other officials to discuss mechanisms for maximizing the value of current state-owned holdings. The government plans to evaluate each asset’s potential to support sustainable urban growth.
