Getafe secured a draw against Craiova on Thursday in the team’s opening match of the Conference League. Midfielder Gudelj scored in the 81st minute, salvaging a point for the Spanish side after a challenging performance.
The match saw Getafe struggle to maintain momentum against a disciplined opponent. Craiova adopted a defensive strategy for much of the contest, frequently relying on a low block while attempting to launch counterattacks led by forward Al Hamlawi. The home side also applied pressure on Getafe’s defense during build-up plays.
