Maxxi Museum Launches New Exhibitions by Sophie Calle and Tatiana Bilbao

The Maxxi Museum in Rome has opened two new exhibitions featuring the work of French artist Sophie Calle and Mexican architect Tatiana Bilbao. The shows highlight distinct approaches to contemporary art and architectural design.

Sophie Calle presents a monographic exhibition titled “The Sense of the End.” The retrospective explores themes of closure and finality through the artist’s conceptual lens. The exhibition aims to engage visitors with Calle’s long-standing focus on personal narratives and human relationships.

Alongside the Calle retrospective, the museum is hosting an installation by Tatiana Bilbao. Titled “Nature,” the project examines the intersection of the built environment and natural landscapes. Bilbao’s work focuses on sustainable practices and social responsibility in architecture, reflecting her broader design philosophy. Both exhibitions are now open to the public at the museum venue.
