Real Betis defeated Porto 3-2 in their Champions League home opener, drawing 67,114 spectators to La Cartuja. The victory serves as a continuation of the club’s strongest start to a season since the 1934-1935 campaign, when the team won the league title. The club currently sits third in the domestic league standings with 19 points, having secured six wins, one draw, and one loss.
The team also holds a strong position in the Champions League table, with two wins in two matches. This performance marks a significant resurgence for the club, which has not experienced such a run in decades. The squad now faces a challenge as they prepare to host league leaders Barcelona. Real Betis has not defeated Barcelona at home since 2008. #RealBetis #ChampionsLeague #LaLiga #FCBarcelona
