Egypt and South Korea Conclude Three-Year Women’s Empowerment Program

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) concluded a three-year training program on October 15, 2026, aimed at bolstering women’s economic empowerment in Egypt. The initiative, part of KOICA’s Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow fellowship, focused on enhancing institutional capacity for policy development regarding female entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Held in Cairo, the closing seminar reviewed policy frameworks and support systems modeled on South Korea’s development experience. Officials from both nations, alongside representatives from United Nations agencies, attended the event. Participants discussed future collaborations to align developmental projects with Egyptian national priorities. The program included alumni testimonials and a presentation on inclusive educational activities for girls in Luxor.
