The LaLiga EA Sports match between Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Club will resume behind closed doors at the Estadio de Vallecas. The Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Single Competition Judge issued the ruling following the suspension of the game on October 10.
The match was halted during the eighth round of play after spectators repeatedly threw objects onto the field. Officials determined the game must be completed at the original venue without fans present to ensure safety. As part of the disciplinary decision, the RFEF ordered Rayo Vallecano to cover the travel expenses incurred by Athletic Club for the resumed fixture.
