Egypt’s Non-Oil Exports Reach $48 Billion in 2025, Minister Says

Egypt’s non‑oil merchandise exports hit $48 billion in 2025, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid said during the opening of an Egyptian Exchange (EGX) session marking World Investor Week.

Farid, speaking alongside EGX Chair Omar Radwan and officials from the Financial Regulatory Authority, highlighted technology and artificial intelligence as tools to expand exports. He called for coordinated awareness campaigns, regulatory updates and university partnerships to teach young people about trade agreements, rules of origin and export standards.

The minister praised recent FRA‑aligned regulatory changes that allow citizens under 21 to trade on the capital market, stressing the need to protect new investors. He also promoted TradeTech initiatives, including a sandbox program, to help firms identify markets and comply with export requirements, aiming to broaden Egypt’s exporter base.
