The upcoming Italian theatre season will open with ten productions ranging from a satire on Vladimir Putin to a stage adaptation of the comic hero Dylan Dog.
Organisers say the lineup includes classic works by Luigi Pirandello and the De Filippo brothers, alongside several premieres that have not been staged before. The season aims to blend well‑known playwrights with contemporary and experimental pieces to attract a broad audience.
Tickets will go on sale next week, with performances scheduled in major cities such as Rome, Milan and Naples. Critics expect the mix of political comedy, literary drama and graphic‑novel storytelling to reflect current cultural trends.
