The Orchestra dell’Accademia della Scala performed in Naples this week, marking the opening event for the Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti. Conductor Marco Angius led the ensemble through a program featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Igor Stravinsky, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The concert served as the inaugural performance for the association’s new season. The event highlighted a collaboration between the Milan-based academy and the historic Neapolitan musical organization, drawing attention to the ongoing cultural exchange between the two cities. Organizers stated the program was selected to showcase the technical range of the young musicians within the Accademia orchestra. The performance concluded to an appreciative audience, setting the tone for the upcoming concert series.
