Opella and the World Allergy Organisation (WAO) have launched a five-year global partnership to improve the management of allergic diseases in frontline care settings. Announced Monday at the 32nd World Allergy Congress in Kyoto, the collaboration will run from 2027 through 2031. The initiative aims to support primary care providers, including general practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists, by enhancing disease recognition and care standards.
As part of the agreement, the organizations established the WAO-Opella Award for Innovative Solutions in Everyday Allergy Care. The inaugural cycle will focus on pediatric and adolescent health, with entries opening in January 2027.
