In its Gurugram-based atelier, Rotoris technicians assemble and test timepieces using Swiss-sourced machinery, a process designed to mirror the standards of established watchmakers. This attention to detail has attracted significant investor interest, with the luxury watch brand announcing an $8.5 million Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures.
Expanding Global Retail Presence
The company, founded in 2025 by Aakash Anand, Prerna Gupta, Anant Narula, and Kunal Kapania, plans to use the capital to scale production and expand its retail footprint. The brand intends to open “Rotoris House” locations in Mumbai and New York. Rotoris operates on an invitation-only model called the Rotoris Registry, selling limited-edition watches. The company reports that its inaugural collection of 2,100 numbered watches sold out shortly after its February 2026 launch.
Co-founder Prerna Gupta stated that the brand focuses on balancing aesthetic design with precise engineering and assembly. The company notes that its production processes were developed with input from Swiss horologists who previously worked with luxury brands including Patek Philippe, IWC, and Tiffany & Co.
Market Position and Growth
The funding round included participation from 100Unicorns, Centricity, and several family offices, as well as Rannvijay Singha. This follows a $3 million seed round in December 2025 that featured investors including Nikhil Kamath and actor Vivek Oberoi.
Rotoris enters a competitive landscape that includes established legacy brands like Seiko, Tissot, and Citizen, alongside domestic competitors such as Bangalore Watch Company and Jaipur Watch Company. According to company data, nearly 100,000 people have registered for access to its collections, with approximately 40% of demand originating from international markets, including Dubai, the US, and Australia.
