Starbucks Japan Releases Holiday Collection Ahead of Christmas Season

With less than eight weeks until Christmas, Starbucks Japan has launched its 2026 holiday merchandise collection. The new range, themed “Colours of Holiday,” features a variety of festive-themed drinkware and accessories designed to align with the upcoming season.

The Holiday Collection

The company stated the collection is intended to “brighten your heart for the holiday season.” The design palette relies on red, green, white, and gold, incorporating decorative elements such as ribbons and the brand’s “Bearista” character.

Among the items released is a 473-millilitre stainless steel bottle priced at 5,550 yen (approximately $34.86). The collection also includes a ceramic canister shaped like a coffee cup for 3,500 yen and a 355-millilitre double-walled heat-resistant glass featuring gold glitter and a red ribbon design, retailing for 3,800 yen.

Drinkware and Seasonal Accessories

Other items in the lineup offer functional variations on standard drinkware. Starbucks Japan introduced a stacking mug set for 4,800 yen and a 473-millilitre cold cup tumbler featuring a decorative Bearista figure, priced at 4,250 yen. Additionally, a glass tumbler containing a Bearista figure is available for 4,600 yen. The design of this specific tumbler allows the bear’s color to visually shift based on the liquid inside, such as milk or coffee.

The company noted that these items are intended for use beyond the holiday period, marketing them as year-round kitchen and beverage accessories.

Why it matters: Starbucks’ seasonal merchandise releases are a key retail strategy in markets like Japan, where limited-edition holiday goods drive consumer interest and foot traffic. For retail sectors, tracking these product cycles offers insight into how global chains adapt their branding to regional holiday spending habits.
