Starbucks Japan Launches ‘Let’s Par-TEA!’ Holiday Beverage Menu

Starbucks Japan has introduced a new holiday-themed menu featuring three tea-based beverages and a limited-edition cookie topping. The collection, marketed under the theme “Let’s Par-TEA!,” incorporates strawberry, royal milk tea, and Earl Grey chocolate flavor profiles.

The Joyful Medley Strawberry Creamy Tea Latte

This beverage features a blend of black, oolong, and jasmine teas with apricot notes. The drink includes sweetened fresh cream, a strawberry-flavored mousse topping, and freeze-dried strawberries. It is available only in a Tall size for 638 yen for takeout or 650 yen for dine-in.

The Earl Grey Chocolate Frappuccino

Designed as a dessert option, this Frappuccino combines Earl Grey tea, chocolate sauce, and chocolate chips. The drink aims to provide a balance between the bergamot fragrance of the tea and the texture of the chocolate. Pricing is set at 678 yen for takeout and 690 yen for dine-in.

The Royal Milk Tea

This drink utilizes a blend of Darjeeling, Assam, and Ceylon teas mixed with milk. It is priced at 609 yen for takeout and 620 yen for dine-in.

November 2 to November 19

Starbucks is offering a “Be a Santa Cookie Topping” for iced beverages topped with whipped cream or mousse foam. The shortbread cookies come in three random designs: a present, a Christmas tree, or a Santa hat. These toppings are available while supplies last during this period.

Current Status

The three holiday beverages are available at Starbucks locations in Japan for a limited, unspecified time. The cookie topping remains on the menu only through November 19, subject to availability.

Why it matters: For consumers in Japan and international markets, this release highlights how global chains like Starbucks localize menus to align with regional seasonal celebrations. The strategy of offering limited-time, tea-centric beverages reflects broader trends in the food and beverage industry to drive store traffic through exclusive, time-sensitive product launches.
