Negotiations Underway for New Capital
Holiday Tribe, a traveltech startup, is in discussions to secure approximately ₹50 crore ($5.2 million) in new funding. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that RPSG Capital Ventures is among the potential investors engaged in talks with the company. The deal remains unfinalized, and the total investment amount or participating parties could shift as negotiations continue.
Neither Holiday Tribe nor RPSG Capital Ventures responded to requests for comment regarding the potential transaction.
Founded in 2022 by former MakeMyTrip executives Anshu Sharma and Chirag Goyal, the platform specializes in customized travel packages. Its service model integrates human travel experts with an AI-powered planning tool known as Avni. The company manages bookings and itineraries for various trip types, including luxury travel, honeymoons, and family vacations, covering destinations such as Japan, Bali, Dubai, and European markets.
Expanding the Traveltech Sector
The company previously secured ₹25 crore in a pre-Series A round last year, led by Powerhouse Ventures with support from GSF and various angel investors. That capital was earmarked for enhancing AI-driven personalization and expanding supplier networks. Prior to that, the startup raised ₹5.4 crore in seed funding in 2024.
Holiday Tribe operates within a growing sector of platforms focused on bespoke travel planning. Other industry players are also attracting significant investment. In July, Gurugram-based 30 Sundays raised ₹61 crore in a Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners to bolster its AI engineering and expand into markets like Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Additionally, travel platform TravClan recently secured $5 million in a mix of equity and debt from investors including Flipkart.
