PRISM, the parent company of hospitality chain OYO, reported a 35% increase in revenue from operations for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company reached Rs 2,814 crore for the period ending in June, up from Rs 2,078 crore during the same quarter last year, according to audited financial records.
Financial Performance and Growth
The hospitality firm recorded a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 353 crore, a 17% increase compared to the Rs 301 crore profit reported in the year-ago period. This figure includes a deferred-tax credit of approximately Rs 244 crore. Gross Booking Value also rose, growing 30% to nearly Rs 9,600 crore.
Growth occurred across both the hotels and vacation homes segments. The hotel business saw a 30% year-on-year increase in bookings, while the vacation homes division reported 28% growth. EBITDA rose 24% to Rs 760 crore, and adjusted EBITDA increased 35% to Rs 589 crore.
Strategic Outlook and IPO Plans
Founder Ritesh Agarwal addressed shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting in October, citing strong momentum across both business segments. Agarwal credited investments in technology, branding, and distribution for the performance. He highlighted the company’s geographical diversification, specifically noting the role of the North American market following the acquisition of G6 Hospitality.
The company is integrating artificial intelligence into its operations, including a general manager tool named Grace AI used in Western markets to support property workflows. PRISM is currently preparing for an initial public offering. A recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Board of India reduced the proposed fresh issue to Rs 3,350 crore, with Rs 2,512.5 crore designated for debt repayment.
Why it matters: As OYO expands its global footprint, particularly in North America, its financial stability serves as a key indicator for the broader hospitality technology sector. For investors in emerging markets, PRISM’s ability to scale centralized technology platforms across diverse geographies provides a case study in operational efficiency.
