Trieste, Italy – The Società dei Concerti di Trieste unveiled its 2024 season on Monday, announcing a program of 23 concerts organized into three thematic series.
The season will run from September through June and feature a mix of classical, contemporary and crossover works. The three series, titled “Baroque Revival,” “Modern Voices” and “Crossroads,” aim to explore distinct musical eras and styles.
According to the society’s director, Maria Rossi, the lineup includes performances by the Trieste Philharmonic Orchestra, guest soloists from across Europe, and collaborations with local choirs. “We want to offer audiences a diverse palette while highlighting the city’s rich musical heritage,” Rossi said.
Key Highlights
Highlights include a Handel opera excerpt in the Baroque Revival series, a world premiere by composer Luca Bianchi in Modern Voices, and a fusion concert blending jazz and folk traditions in Crossroads. Ticket sales will open next week via the society’s website and box offices.
