Bosch Launches DCP 800 Diesel Test Bench Capable of 2,700 Bar Pressure

Bosch announced the introduction of its DCP 800 diesel test bench, expanding the company’s range of diesel technologies. The new system can evaluate common‑rail fuel pumps in roughly 20 minutes and generate pressures up to 2,700 bar.

Key capabilities

The DCP 800 is designed for rapid testing cycles, allowing engineers to complete a full pump assessment in about one‑third of the time required by previous equipment. Its pressure capability of 2,700 bar matches the highest specifications used in modern diesel engines, enabling accurate performance and durability analysis.

Industry impact

By shortening test durations, the bench aims to accelerate development timelines for manufacturers of diesel powertrains and after‑market components. Bosch expects the DCP 800 to support both original equipment manufacturers and independent service providers seeking precise diagnostics.

Bosch did not disclose pricing or the date of commercial availability, but indicated that the DCP 800 will be integrated into its existing diesel testing portfolio later this year.
