Silvia Ziche Exhibition Opens in Città di Castello Featuring Over 250 Works

Italian comic artist Silvia Ziche opened a solo exhibition titled “100% Silvia Ziche” at the Museo Civico di Città di Castello on Tuesday, showcasing more than 250 original drawings and illustrations.

The show runs until Nov. 1 and presents a selection of Ziche’s recent and classic pieces, many of which satirize contemporary society’s reliance on smartphones and artificial intelligence. Curator Marco Bianchi said the exhibition highlights how the artist uses humor to comment on digital culture, noting that several works depict people “with their noses glued to screens” and “interacting with AI alone.”

Exhibition Highlights

Visitors can view large-format prints, sketchbooks, and limited-edition prints. A dedicated section displays Ziche’s collaborations with major Italian magazines, illustrating her influence on the national comic scene.

Artist Background

Silvia Ziche, born in 1977, gained prominence in the early 2000s for her work in satirical publications such as “Il Male” and “L’Espresso.” Her style blends sharp line work with exaggerated characters, often targeting consumerism and media saturation. The museum’s director, Lucia Ferri, noted that Ziche’s work “captures the absurdities of modern life with a distinctive visual voice.”
