Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana presented a runway show on Saturday that featured pop star Jennifer Lopez modeling pieces from a multigenerational family wardrobe.
The event, held in Milan, centered on the theme of Sicilian extravagance, a hallmark of the brand’s aesthetic. Organizers said the collection drew on traditional garments passed down through families for centuries, reinterpreted with contemporary tailoring.
Lopez walked the catwalk wearing a silk embroidered dress inspired by 19th‑century Sicilian folk attire, followed by a modern jacket crafted from heirloom fabrics. The designer duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, described the showcase as a tribute to cultural heritage and familial legacy.
Design concept
Dolce & Gabbana emphasized the use of authentic textiles sourced from Sicilian artisans. The label highlighted that each piece incorporated motifs and stitching techniques historically reserved for special occasions.
Future plans
The brand indicated that the exhibition will travel to major fashion capitals later this year, with additional celebrity guests expected to appear. No further details on upcoming dates were released.
