StockGro Profits Surge Ahead of Proposed IPO

Strong Financial Growth

AssetGro Fintech Ltd, the parent company of investment platform StockGro, reported a significant increase in financial performance for the fiscal year 2026. The company’s net profit rose to ₹113 crore, a 226.6% jump from the ₹34.6 crore recorded in the previous fiscal year, according to consolidated financial statements.

Operating revenue for the firm doubled, reaching ₹226.1 crore compared to ₹113.3 crore in the previous year. Subscription fees accounted for nearly all of the operating revenue, according to company data. Including other income, the total income for the fiscal year reached ₹230.9 crore. The company’s EBITDA also grew by approximately 99.3%, reaching ₹118.7 crore.

Operational Expansion and Expenses

The company, which allows users to research and trade stocks and alternative assets, attributed this growth to the expansion of India’s retail investment ecosystem. As of September, the National Stock Exchange reported 13.66 crore unique registered investors. StockGro operates by combining market research with social interaction, utilizing tools such as an AI-powered research assistant named Stoxo.

While revenue increased, total expenses rose by 47.3% to ₹132 crore. Employee benefit expenses served as the primary cost driver, rising 96.3% to ₹65.8 crore, representing half of the company’s total expenditure. Technology charges also saw an increase.

StockGro has filed for an initial public offering, with plans to raise between ₹2,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. The proposal includes a fresh issue of approximately ₹800 crore alongside an offer for sale by existing shareholders. The company recently secured ₹110 crore in a Series B funding round from investors including BITKRAFT Ventures and actor Suniel Shetty.

Why it matters: As StockGro prepares for its IPO, the firm’s ability to scale while managing rising employee and technology costs serves as a bellwether for the broader fintech sector in emerging markets. Growing retail participation in stock markets, a trend mirrored in many developing economies, continues to drive demand for digital advisory and investment platforms.
