EICMA 2026 Opens as Largest Motorcycle Show Ever with Ten Pavilions Showcasing New Two-Wheelers

On a bright morning in Milan, visitors streamed into the Fiera Milano complex as the 2026 edition of EICMA, the world’s premier motorcycle exhibition, opened its doors. The event, which runs through November, features ten separate pavilions filled with the latest models and concepts from manufacturers across the globe.

Organisers highlighted that this is the biggest EICMA to date, with a record number of exhibitors and an expanded floor plan. Major brands such as Ducati, Yamaha, and Honda displayed electric motorcycles, high‑performance sport bikes, and advanced off‑road machines. In Pavilion 3, a prototype electric superbike demonstrated a claimed 0‑to‑100 km/h time of under three seconds, while Pavilion 7 showcased a series of lightweight adventure bikes equipped with integrated navigation and rider‑assist systems.

Industry analysts attending the fair noted the growing emphasis on electrification and digital connectivity. “The proportion of electric models on the show floor has more than doubled since 2022,” said Marco Bianchi, a senior analyst at MotorInsights. “Manufacturers are using EICMA to signal their commitment to sustainability and to test consumer response to new technologies.”

Trade visitors and journalists were given test‑ride opportunities on several new models. A crowd gathered around a newly unveiled scooter that features a swappable battery pack, allowing a full charge in under ten minutes. The scooter’s manufacturer, Vespa, announced plans to roll out the model across European markets by early 2027.

Local authorities reported that the event is expected to attract over 600,000 visitors, providing a boost to Milan’s hospitality sector. Hotels reported near‑full occupancy, and restaurants noted a surge in bookings during the exhibition week.

Looking ahead, organisers said the next edition of EICMA will continue to expand its pavilion count and incorporate more interactive digital experiences for attendees.
