Peppermint Robotics, a manufacturer of autonomous cleaning and material transport robots, has raised 100 crore rupees, approximately $10.5 million, in a pre-Series B funding round. The investment was led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, with participation from the Asiana Fund. The funding includes both fresh capital and secondary share transactions.
The company, which maintains headquarters in Pune and Austin, reported that its revenue doubled last year and grew nearly sixfold between the 2024 and 2026 fiscal years. This capital injection follows a Series A round in April 2025, where the firm raised 34 crore rupees. Peppermint Robotics currently operates in nine countries, with the United States serving as its largest market.
Technology and Deployment
Founded in 2019 at the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay, the startup develops hardware, software, and perception systems in-house. Its robots, assembled in Pune, utilize proprietary operating software, computer vision, and LiDAR technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The machines are designed to integrate into existing industrial workflows, such as floor scrubbing and material movement, rather than disrupting established operations.
Peppermint Robotics serves facility management companies across various sectors, including airports, hospitals, factories, warehouses, hotels, and universities. The company recently passed qualification testing for its robots in an EU GMP Grade cleanroom, a highly regulated environment at a global pharmaceutical company. For sensitive locations, the company provides offline robots designed to meet information security requirements.
Future Expansion
CEO Runal Dahiwade stated that the new funding will support the development of next-generation robotics and increased manufacturing capacity. The company plans to establish an assembly line in North America in the coming months. Furthermore, Peppermint intends to increase its business development efforts in the United States and Asia, expand its European presence, and recruit senior leadership.
