ShareChat Parent Mohalla Tech Reports Revenue Growth and Path to Profitability

Mohalla Tech, the parent company behind social media platforms ShareChat and Moj, has reported a 40% increase in revenue for the 2026 fiscal year, reaching Rs 1,016 crore compared to Rs 723 crore the previous year. The company attributed this financial growth to the diversification of its business model, specifically the expansion into micro-dramas.

Diversification and Financial Performance

The introduction of micro-dramas, monetized through both subscription models and advertising, provided a new revenue stream alongside the company’s established advertising and live-streaming operations. Subscription revenue from the QuickTV app and Moj+ reached Rs 293 crore in its initial full year. Daily consumption of these micro-dramas increased 6.5-fold over a 12-month period, surpassing 1 billion units daily.

Mohalla Tech also reported a 58% reduction in EBITDA losses, which fell to Rs 91 crore in FY26 from Rs 219 crore in FY25. By the end of the first half of FY27, the company recorded positive cash flows for four consecutive quarters and positive EBITDA for two consecutive quarters.

Future Outlook

The company announced that its annual recurring revenue reached Rs 1,500 crore in the first half of FY27. Leadership expects the firm to close FY27 with its first full-year profit at the EBITDA level, projecting an EBITDA of nearly Rs 25 crore. Ankush Sachdeva, co-founder and CEO of Mohalla Tech, stated that the company is now funding future growth entirely through its own cash flows.

Looking ahead, the firm expects its advertising business to accelerate during the upcoming festive season. Manohar Charan, co-founder and CFO, noted that the company is focused on improving profit margins while sustaining revenue growth. The firm plans to continue leveraging its expanded advertiser base across the ShareChat and Moj platforms.
