Professional golfers from across the globe gathered at Madinaty Golf Club on Monday for the second Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament, the 14th stop in the Golf Egypt Series. The event runs through 1 October, following the first ADT competition that concluded just two days earlier at the same venue.
Omar Hesham Talaat, president of the Egyptian Golf Federation, said the back-to-back tournaments underscore Egypt’s ambition to cement its place on the international golf map and to showcase the country as a venue for major sporting events. He highlighted the federation’s broader strategy to grow the sport locally, attract more overseas competitions, and give Egyptian players exposure to professional fields.
Ken Kudo, executive director of the ADT, praised the federation’s support and Omar Hesham’s vision, noting that their combined efforts were crucial in bringing the series to Egypt and ensuring its smooth operation. Local professional Ahmed Marjan echoed the sentiment, emphasizing how competing alongside world‑class peers sharpens skills and raises the level of Egyptian golf.
