Potenza Council Approves €3 Million Rural Road Safety Plan

The city of Potenza has unveiled an extraordinary plan to boost safety on its rural and suburban roads. Officials say the initiative will channel three million euros into upgrading the local road network, focusing on sections that have long needed reinforcement.

Funding will cover resurfacing, improved signage and new safety barriers, aiming to reduce accidents and ease travel for commuters and farmers alike. The council hopes the upgrades will not only protect drivers but also stimulate the surrounding countryside by making it more accessible.

Residents can expect the work to start later this year, with the municipality promising regular updates as the project progresses.
