At a recent gathering of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association’s MSME Committee, MSMEDA chief Mostafa Hassan outlined an ambitious plan to grow the agency’s financing portfolio, especially for industrial and productive micro, small and medium enterprises. He said the strategy will bundle loans, technical help, youth training and capacity‑building to push firms from the informal to the formal sector, secure export markets and win international quality marks.
Deputy CEO Mohamed Medhat noted that about 40% of recent funding already backs industrial projects, aligning with Egypt’s push for locally made goods. MSMEDA also aims to digitise services, using AI‑driven tools and a data‑rich network to cut costs, boost efficiency and connect businesses domestically and abroad.
