Granada Startup Uses Satellite Images to Fine‑Tune Crop and Forest Management

Imagine judging a whole orchard or forest just from a single satellite picture. That’s exactly what Graniot, a Granada‑based start‑up founded in 2022, does. By feeding an image into its proprietary software, the team can count trees, gauge their size and age, and even estimate yields with near‑millimetric precision. The technology, originally aimed at boosting agricultural practices, has now expanded to track infrastructure changes under a European Space Agency‑backed programme.

Last year the company posted €210,000 in revenue and is shooting for half a million euros this year. If the growth continues, Graniot could become a key player in satellite‑driven land management across Europe.
