In the coastal city of New Alamein, African leaders recently gathered to mark the 25th anniversary of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD). Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Angolan President João Lourenço co-chaired the summit, joined by representatives from founding nations like Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa, and Senegal. The core message was clear: Africa’s future development must come from within, powered by the continent’s own people, resources, and innovative financing.
