It was a beautiful sunset in Rijeka, with thousands of excited fans watching the game against a stunning Adriatic backdrop. But the scene quickly turned sour for the home team. England, led by a brilliant Harry Kane, completely dismantled Croatia. By halftime, the scoreboard already showed a shocking 0-4 lead, leaving the Croatian side—including stars like Modric and Kovacic—looking visibly exhausted and unable to keep up with the pace.
This match wasn’t just a win; it was a total demolition. As the night set in, England secured a 7-0 victory, marking the worst defeat in Croatia’s entire football history. This performance stands as the finest display of the Tuchel era so far, proving that England is a force to be reckoned with while leaving Croatia facing a tough transition.
