Egypt Launches Major Health Campaign for Millions of Students

Egypt is taking a big step toward a healthier future for its youth with the launch of the ambitious “Hanetghayar” school campaign. For the 2026/27 academic year, the Ministry of Health is reaching out to roughly 7 million students across 21 governorates. The initiative is about more than just checkups; it aims to foster better habits among children, parents, and teachers alike.

Around 4,500 trained medical teams are fanning out to nearly 39,000 schools to provide comprehensive exams and teach vital lessons. From nutrition and physical activity to anti-bullying and safe technology use, the program covers it all. By training school staff in first aid and standardizing health advice, the ministry hopes to build a safer, more aware community for every student.
