Egypt Expands Notary and Registry Services at Bank Branches

Getting your paperwork sorted in Egypt just got a bit easier. The Central Bank of Egypt recently updated its rules, allowing more banks to offer commercial registry and real estate notarization services directly at their branches. This change, approved by the bank’s board in late September 2026, aims to make handling these official transactions much more convenient for everyday people.

Under the new guidelines, any bank registered with the Central Bank can apply to offer these services once they get official approval. While anyone can walk in for commercial registry help, the notarization services are reserved specifically for existing bank customers. Banks will select specific branches to handle these tasks, so it is worth checking with your local branch before heading out.
