Fernando Alonso is proving that his racing days are far from over. Just after confirming his contract renewal with Aston Martin for next year’s Formula 1 season, the champion teased that he had some major surprises up his sleeve. He told fans he wanted to push the boundaries of what seemed impossible, sparking plenty of speculation about his future beyond the F1 track.
It turns out that mystery didn’t last long. Reports confirmed this week that Alonso is ready to get back in the dirt, as he plans to return to the grueling Rally Dakar next year. It is an exciting move for the Spanish driver, who clearly isn’t satisfied with just one discipline and remains eager to test his limits in the world’s toughest off-road race.
