Egypt Boosts Healthcare Quality Standards Nationwide

Egypt’s General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) has been busy raising the bar for medical care. During the 2025/26 financial year, they made significant strides in ensuring patients receive safer, higher-quality treatment across the country.

  1. GAHAR officially accredited 945 healthcare facilities across 26 governorates.
  2. The team conducted over 2,100 regulatory visits and nearly 800 technical support programs.
  3. A massive training effort reached 18,016 trainees, bringing the total number of skilled professionals to 34,000.
  4. International experts renewed GAHAR’s accreditation, praising their new high standards for clinics and pharmacies.
