It is clearly paying off, though. Over the last five years, the industry has surged by over 44%, now accounting for more than 1% of Spain’s entire economy. According to the latest data from the National Perfumery and Cosmetics Association, Spain has cemented its status as a global powerhouse, ranking as the second-largest exporter of perfumes in the world, right behind France.
