Seat Aims to Bring Audi Q4 Electric Production to Barcelona

Seat is currently in serious talks with Volkswagen to bring the production of the electric Audi Q4 e-tron to its Martorell factory in Barcelona. While the car is currently built in Zwickau, Germany, Volkswagen is reviewing its future manufacturing plans for several German plants. Seeing an opportunity, Seat’s leadership is pushing hard to secure this model for their Spanish facility.

If the deal goes through, production in Catalonia could kick off around 2032. This move would be a major win for the Barcelona plant, helping secure long-term operations as the automotive industry shifts toward electric vehicles. Both companies are still finalizing the details, but it highlights Seat’s strong ambitions to anchor its future in the electric market.
