A Taste of Tradition at the Spirit of Prespa Farm

Tucked away in the southern corner of North Macedonia, near the beautiful Lake Prespa, life moves to the rhythm of the seasons. Here, a family-run farm called Spirit of Prespa manages five hectares of land filled with apple, cherry, plum, and berry trees. It is a quiet place where the harvest dictates the daily schedule, and the family turns their fresh bounty into delicious jams, juices, and the region’s signature brandy, rakia.

Recently, the farm has opened its gates to something new: visitors. Travelers are now stopping by to experience rural life firsthand. Whether they are picking fresh fruit straight from the branches, sampling traditional local food, or joining in on the family’s daily farm tasks, guests get a genuine, hands-on connection to this unique corner of the Balkans.
