Egypt’s FRA Mandates Monthly Data Reporting for Non-Bank Financial Firms

Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has ordered all non-bank financing companies to submit monthly activity data via its digital platform. Under Circular No. 7 of 2026, firms must report their figures within the first 15 days of each month, covering the previous month’s operations. The regulator is also reopening its electronic portal from October 12 to October 29 to allow entities to verify and correct data submitted since January 1, 2026.

FRA Chairman Islam Azzam stated the directive aims to improve supervisory oversight and data quality. The authority intends to integrate firm databases with its own, facilitating more accurate risk assessments and performance monitoring. This move follows an earlier requirement for consumer finance companies to establish technological infrastructure to link their real-time transaction data directly with the regulator.
