Mercedes-Benz has commenced production of its new Marco Polo camper van at the company’s manufacturing facility in Ludwigsfelde, Germany. The automotive manufacturer established a dedicated production zone within the existing plant to assemble the vehicle.
The facility in Ludwigsfelde, located south of Berlin, is now responsible for the final assembly of the camper van model. This site previously focused on commercial vehicle production. The integration of the Marco Polo line marks a shift in the factory’s operational scope as the company expands its leisure vehicle portfolio.
