Carbonia has introduced four new electric buses into its public transportation network. These vehicles mark the first delivery of a 30-bus order scheduled for deployment across five municipalities served by the regional transit operator, Arst.
The initiative aims to modernize the local public transport fleet and reduce carbon emissions. The new buses operate on electric power, replacing older diesel models on select routes. Arst officials confirmed these additions are part of a broader plan to upgrade transit infrastructure throughout the region. The remaining 26 buses are expected to enter service in the coming months as part of the regional sustainability effort.
