The Biblioteche di Roma library network will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a series of author-led discussions titled “Reading Geographies: The Authors’ Libraries.” The program begins Oct. 15 and features writers Domenico Starnone and Teresa Ciabatti, who is known as Cescon in some promotional materials. The events aim to explore the literary influences and personal libraries of prominent figures in contemporary Italian literature.
Organizers stated the initiative serves to mark three decades of public service by the institution. The library network plans to host additional sessions following the opening event. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear authors discuss the books and spaces that shaped their professional careers. Further details regarding the schedule and participating venues are available through the library network’s official channels.
